Introducing HSBC Safeguard – Protecting you from Fraud and Financial Crime

To stay one step ahead of financial criminals and fraudsters we are introducing HSBC Safeguard to help keep you and your money safe. To do this we need to make sure our records are complete and up-to-date, so that our systems and people can do their job of deterring and detecting criminal activity.

What do I need to do?
To help us protect you, we ask you to update the details we have about you and to provide additional documents in some cases. Even if you’ve banked with us for some time, we may need to reconfirm the information we hold.

How long will it take?
To update your details should only take about 5 to 10 minutes.

What do I need?
Ideally, you should have the following to hand before starting:

  • Some ID such as a passport, for all nationalities or citizenships that you hold
  • Previous addresses and moving dates if you’ve moved house within the last three years
  • Employment details, where applicable

What if I can’t complete all details?
